Hi. I am Ella.
I live and conduct my work in the North East of England, and am an award winning family and children photographer. Being recognised by professional photographers and peers in my industry is a huge honour.
Because I believe in the value a portrait holds, when I started photography at professional level, I chose portraiture.
In fact, how would the walls of our homes look without beautiful images of our loved ones?
Further down the page, I explain how driven by creativity, I explored more photographic paths and I created a little empire of ways to document it all and I help families chose the right photographic approach for them.
Our first photographic stop, studio photography.
Located right over the Tyne Bridge, the photography studio is fully equipped with a range of different lighting and an ever-growing collection of props and backgrounds. The studio also has great natural light so it is perfect.
Making my clients as comfortable and relaxed as possible during their session is my priority.
I understand that not everyone is a natural in front of a camera. Because of my professional approach and excellent knowledge in posing, I carefully guide my clients, so they always look their best. As a result, the finished galleries are filled with expressive images that celebrate the family bond and reflect the unique personality of each of my clients.

Our second photographic stop, A TALE OF AN ORDINARY DAY.
After a while, the journey of documenting split seconds became about every single day.
It became about ordinary life, childhood memories and good times spent together.
In every day we get to live, be it big or small, you and I both know there's a story to be told.
So, it soon became "A Tale of An Ordinary Day". A collection of intimate and precious moments carefully captured.
My goal was to achieve this delicate, emotional and narrative of the present as it is.
A chronicle of us, today, yesterday and tomorrow.
The storytelling / lifestyle approach suits outdoor, event and wedding photography.

Like mentioned, I started Portraiture when I first decided to go professional with my photography work.
Why?
I'll tell you a little story...

There was her. Always watching over the entire room.
For years, I watched her and as I grew up, and wondered if I am anything like her. Her hair was curly and mine isn't. Her eyes were blue and mine aren't. She smiled so ladylike and I don't. There had to be something.
Sometimes my granddad would secretly wave at her and I once caught him talking to her. No one could tell me if I'm anything like her. Not even my mother. She should know, as that was her mother looking over us all, all secured up on that sitting room wall.
Years later, I knew. She knew how important portraits are. How I, somehow am like her.
And so, I photograph. Portraits. Because, they might be the only thing you have connecting you to someone you really love. In fact, I'm the proud owner now, of that magnificent portrait, which continues to rest beautifully on my parent's sitting room wall.
